Wenn ich

| set charset outgoing "iso-8859-1,iso-8859-15,utf-8"

verwende, bekomme ich die Meldung

| /home/alex/.slrn/post: In dieser slrn-Version kann die Variable
| charset nicht gesetzt werden. Details entnehmen Sie bitte dem
| slrn-Handbuch.

beim Start von slrn. Das Handbuch gab dazu aber erst mal nichts her...

das gehört da nicht mehr hin

Offenbar gab es doch mehr Änderungen von 0.9.8.1 auf 0.9.9p1, als ich
dachte...

Mein slrn zeigt das als Großbuchstaben und Ziffern in spitzen Klammern an.

Ich glaube, es ist nicht standardisiert, wie ungültige UTF‐8‐Sequenzen
angezeigt werden soll. Die S‐Lang‐Programme und less verwenden z. B. die
Darstellung mit den spitzen Klammern. Es ist aber auch möglich, dass
einige Programme damit nicht zurechtkommen und Fehler machen.
